Clean Irene gets a ghostly outing at the Rhubarb Haunted House

We have brought all our costumes and props out of the basement, 10 years after we last performed Clean Irene & Dirty Maxine, bringing the ghostly memory of our very first show together to the 2017 Rhubarb Festival Haunted House this Wednesday Feb 15th.  A full-facility night of installation performance, 7 other past-Rhubarb shows walk again in some ghost of their former selves...we perform Clean Irene & Dirty Maxine (What We Remember).

Gertrude and Alice, A Workshop Presentation

Gertrude Stein and Alice B.Toklas -  embodied by Evalyn Parry and Anna Chatterton - appear before an audience this December 19th and 20th.  They have come to find out how history has treated them and what has become of their artistic / cultural influence. Over the course of the play they enact scenes - both real and imagined - from their long marriage, and grapple with how their lives and work are - or are not - remembered.

Hello, thanks for visiting the Aunties new website.  Gosh,  we have been off-line for so long we almost forget what it's like to have a life on-line.  But we are back!  Soon there will be more news here for you to read about.  Right now, we can tell you we are at work on our new play Gertrude and Alice.   We are a resident company at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre with this project, and the next time we will show what we're working on in a public presentation will be Feb 2015.  Before that, there will be lots of writing and rehearsal going on, and maybe some art Salon events - in the great tradition of Gertrude and Alice - that you can attend in Toronto.
